What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy playing volleyball, hiking with friends, participating in the performing arts, and staying involved in a variety of school clubs such as Student Government, Key Club and NHS.
What do you enjoy about learning?
The one thing that I truly enjoy the most about learning something new is when I can apply it to assist me in the future. I enjoy being able to fully understand a concept enough to use on my own for real life situations.
You’ve demonstrated so much growth, personally and academically, over the years. Which accomplishments are you most proud of and why?
The biggest accomplishment in my high school career is obtaining the Lumber Jack Scholarship for Northern Arizona University. I’m most proud of this accomplishment because I was able to set a goal over a span a four years and not let distractions get in my way.
What are you most excited to learn about this coming school year?
This upcoming school year I will be attending Northern Arizona University with International Hospitality as my major. I’m very excited to learn about the different forms of management and what it takes to be successful in the business world. I also look forward to taking Italian as my language course and to expand my knowledge on other cultures internationally.
Can you share how your tutor has helped you?
When it comes to math, it’s so much easier to understand a concept and master a skill when you know the reason why or how it works. My tutor has helped me so much with not just understanding the steps but explaining the reason behind it as well and that’s really what has made me successful.
