INSTRUCTOR PROFILE:
Originally from Oregon, I made the move to Arizona seven years ago and absolutely love it here. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Health and Performance from George Fox University and later pursued my passion for education with a Master’s in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching 1st, 4th, and 5th grade in the classroom. Teaching a variety of age groups has given me the flexibility to adapt my approach to fit each child’s unique learning style. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) also shines through in my lessons, as I love integrating hands-on, creative projects that spark curiosity and foster problem-solving skills. Alongside classroom teaching, I’ve had the honor of tutoring students in grades 1–7, helping them gain confidence and master academic skills.
I believe in nurturing the whole child, and I make sure to incorporate their emotional, social, and academic needs into my teaching style. I take time to understand each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and interests, tailoring my approach to help them feel seen and supported. I prioritize building confidence and resilience in every child.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy life as a new mom and love spending time with my little family. I’m also passionate about working out, cooking, and baking. I love anything that keeps me moving or creating!
At Peak Academics, I’m excited to support students on their academic journeys and help them reach their full potential. I work with elementary-aged students, providing core academic support in math, reading, and writing, as well as homework help, homework management, and overall executive functioning development.
