INSTRUCTOR PROFILE:
I was born in Montana and have lived in six different states throughout my life. I’ve been living in Arizona for the past four years, which allowed me to attend Arizona State University, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education in 2023. I am currently working as a 1st and 2nd grade ELA teacher and love seeing young students come to life when they feel confident in their education.
I am now in my third year of teaching at a Title 1 school in the Valley. Prior to this role, I worked as a full-time nanny and tutor during COVID-19, supporting a kindergarten and preschool student with their academic goals and enhancing their online schooling experience.
When working with students, I believe it is my job to help them succeed and feel confident—not just in academics, but in life. I know every student has a unique skill set that can support the areas they are still working on, and I believe that the things students struggle with can become strengths that positively impact their growth.
During my free time, I love expanding my knowledge whenever I can. I am currently working on literacy training to add a literacy endorsement to my teaching certificate. I also enjoy reading fantasy novels and snuggling with my two kitties.
At Peak Academics, I offer Pre-K through 2nd grade academic tutoring in reading, writing, and early literacy skills, as well as executive functioning support for young learners. I love finding creative ways to make learning fun and meaningful, helping students feel confident, capable, and excited to grow.
