Erika earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Dallas in 2013. Having completed the coursework for a Master's degree in Mathematics, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education at Arizona State University, where she also teaches a conceptually-oriented pre-Calculus course. Erika has over 8 years of private tutoring experience, working with 5th-12th graders as well as college students in mathematics courses including Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and beyond. Additionally, Erika has previously taught Algebra II/Trig courses at Chandler Preparatory Academy. In her free time, Erika coaches a middle school MathCounts competition team at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in Tempe and has spent several summers working as a camp counselor. Erika loves sharing her passion for mathematics with students and works with them to develop a conceptual understanding of the topics they are studying. She believes that this basis equips students with the ability to solve a wide variety of problems and the confidence they need to succeed. Erika offers tutoring for middle and high school students in mathematics.
